i got my SC essay results from the turnitin system. guess what, i got 3% plagarism. weird. hope that's a good thing cos it kinda means that i didn't get anything much from any source, which i DID.
filling in my module feedback forms. i just realised how often it is that my tutor is the same person as my lecturer. and i end up filling in the same feedback twice. weird. not complaining tho, most times it's easier to remember who's my tutor if he's the lecturer. haha! didn't know what to feedback about that tan seok hui and saroja. they were pretty bad. gave good reviews for soci and english. gonna miss that peter tan next sem. he's such an interesting lecturer (and not just in the academic sense). wonder what other module he teaches. i'm gonna take it!
was talking about the gay/webcam thing on the clayboard chat. apparently the guy in the webcam pics is coti collins, a clay impersonator. i've got to say, the guy really looks like clay! and that's a bad thing cos apparently, coti collins is a gay drag queen. anyway, feeling is that the 2 of them, collins and john paulus are in together conspiring against clay, for some reason. it better be a darn good reason cos those claymates i talk to are out for JP's blood.
i'm supposed to be typing something out on nwc for church. but i don't remember what. darn.

The fanwars between the Idols never ends. Clay outsold Kelly, Ruben, Fantasia and all of the rest. Kelly is doing well now but Clay's sophomore CD is about to be launched. Some people desperately want him to lose his fans before he can eclipse the winners again. The misconception is that all of his fans are homophobic christian old ladies. This strategy might have worked if it were true. The reality is that they have bonded even closer if that is possible. Clay started out as the one that was robbed of the title, if he is attacked the fans just get more protective. I have been to some of the fansites. The majority is female but not all by any means. The men have their own site and there are plenty of them. The fans aren't buying this story at all.
Don't try to label me as juvenile. I'm a lot more familiar with him than any of you. This alleged encounter never happened and all of the speculation in the world won't prove it. There is no smoking gun. Clay might be gay and he might not. That isn't the issue. Follow the money. Who has a dog in this hunt? Paulus, Perez, Lucas and any other anonymous guy that jumps on the bandwagon saying, "Me, too." Let's not forget the militant gays that "out" stars for sport and the bloggers and gossip writers that make money on hits. Perez has profited from this story. Paulus is a willing patsy that gets a new car, a trip to NY and a porn career out of it so far. He is the weapon to try to bring Clay down but Clay's sexuality is not the main focus, it's the fans. Someone wants him to lose his fans. Paulus's story is so inconsistant and full of holes that he should be embarrassed. Acting is not his strong suit so it's a good thing it isn't required in the porn industry.

yes, i agree about the motive wanting to ruin clay's reputation and make fans leave him. but i don't think it's because of him overshining the rest of the idols. it's not logical i think. this is life, it's a free market industry. if the other artistes can't do as well, then obviously they have to work harder and up their competitiveness. such underhand methods (i'm assuming that you mean this gay issue originated from one of these artistes) only goes to show their childishness and immaturity. just grow up, why don't you?
i don't think you're juvenile. it's a very valid point you've raised. frankly, i don't really care whether clay is gay or not. to me, it's all about the music. i've seen how he is like and i believe what i see. and i'm not going to condemn clay just because this person claims he's gay. i mean, so what? homosexuality isn't as taboo a thing now as it used to be. people who leech off someone else is a common occurrance. in clay's position, it's all about the fans, what reputation he has among them. and when these leeches get what they want, they'll just drop the issue and pretend it never happened.
i agree very very wholeheartedly that JP's story is full of holes. i only read one article about it, there was something there about him taking a lie detector test. and i was thinking, "come on! lie detector tests can be faked." i think the whole issue is ridiculous anyway. it only works cos people in general like scandals and salacious behaviour, who cares if it's true or not.
i don't think clay should worry so much about this. people will always talk about him cos he's considered deviant from the conventional young male artiste. at the end of the day, it boils back to the fans. imo, clay doesn't need 'fair weather' fans. clay's human after all. he isn't perfect as fans imagine him to be. perfection is asking way too much. are we going to condemn him every time he does something remotely human?
right. whew. i never talked so much about this issue officially on my blog as i did here. basically i'm just saying that to me (cos it's my blog) i don't care about what they're doing. i was just writing what i hear people say. my own opinion is that i still believe in clay because i see that he's not what they make him out to be. whoever you are that commented, if you ever come back and read this, i hope at least this 'post' will provide some encouragement to you and clay. *hugs*
